Going into free agency, the Cowboys' present at the cornerback and running back positions was shaky.

1st!
Awesome news on both fronts. It astounds me that Jerry Jones spent $95 million on the two guys.
Newman got a six year deal worth $50m and a $12m signing bonuse. Pretty sweet.
Barber got a seven year deal for $45m, with $16m in guranteed bonuses.
It seems Barber might be a tad bit overpaid, but I’m not complaining!

Did you see the DMN post about Newman’s age. He is a little old for a contract like this. You ever wonder what the short term effect of no salary cap will be. Apparently, in 2010 there won’t be a cap. Maybe Jerry Jones is trying to sign every player possible now instead of 1-2 year extension deals… who knows.
As a Dallasite, it is very frustrating to have these great teams; ‘Boys and ‘Mavs, yet fail so miserably in the playoffs. I like the moves JJ is making. The draft made sense as well as these latest contract moves. What I can’t get my head around is what they need to do to prepare for the playoffs.
Injuries are a much bigger deal at the end of the season. I think we got lucky on that score last year. But without a injury its hard to see how we don’t have a good shot to go all the way this year.
I’m a huge Romo fan. When he is “on” he is as good as anybody. When is off you just scracth your head and wonder why.
Cya guys at Oxnard!

So, what is the plan for the site. Will content be posted or will it just be an open blog?
