RottnLivr:

Isn’t a little pre-mature to grading out a player who hasn’t taken a snap yet? I mean I hope that he has a rough season allowing for a high draft pick, but let the man take a few snaps before you bury him.

You got it, Raf. The only question I’m interested in with Quinn is whether or not he’s the starter in ‘07. I don’t expect the Brownies to win much with Frye as the starter either, but he’s bound to be better than Quinn as a rookie. Either way, check out the Brown’s schedule and tell me where anyone can find more than 5 wins. The top five pick is practically in the bag.

RottnLivr,

Who’s burying him? I’m wishing him well. I’m also wishing him to follow a typical rookie learning curve.

No schadenfreude from me, and I can pop open one of those six packs with the best of them.

Hey Raf, I’m hearing rumors of something stirring down at the Ranch this afternoon–any idea what’s up?

Raf, I wasn’t snipping at you, I meant my comments for the experts who burried him on draft day. I think they had a little effect on why he slid so far down.

“Either way, check out the Brown’s schedule and tell me where anyone can find more than 5 wins”

It’s the time of year when Brownie fan can talk Superbowl.

I’d like Quinn to have an 07 QB rating of 107, just fifteen points below Romo. The Brown’s, despite a valiant effort by Quinn & Co., go 3-13, and the Cowboys pick number one overall and, because of their SB win over the Pats, they have pick numbers 32, 33 (which they parlay into the pick 12). Way to go TEAM.

Salary wise are we finacially able to sign a high number one and another lower number one? What affect will this have on re-signing on someone like Newman?

CowboyMan:

MY bad in post 8. We don’t get number 33 as a result of the draft day trade with the Browns. Wishful thinking. RottnLivr: It’ll be more expensive for sure to have two number ones. Much will change by the 08 draft day, but there should still be enough money under the cap for Newman.

I wish no ill will on no one. Its bad karma. I read before the draft he struggled with accuracy. Iread at the first mini camp he threw a few ducks and struggled with accuracy. I read 2 days ago that he has been struggling with accuracy in OTAs. Hell, Eli struggles to and he’s been to the playoffs. As long as the Browns suck next year its all good.
